My Practice
I work from a person-centred approach, which means you are at the heart of the counselling process. You choose what we explore in our sessions, whether that’s specific issues, emotions, thoughts, or behaviours. My role is to provide a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can feel safe to explore whatever is on your mind. You may be carrying thoughts or experiences that have been difficult to share with anyone else. In our sessions, nothing is too small, too heavy, or too sensitive to talk about, it is a space free from shame and stigma.
As your counsellor, I won’t give you advice or tell you what to do. Instead, I’ll support you in developing a deeper understanding of yourself and your feelings, helping you to discover your own answers and direction.
In our first session, we’ll discuss what you’re hoping to gain from counselling and agree on how you’d like the sessions to work. Everyone’s needs are different. Some people come with a specific goal in mind, while others are looking for a space to talk things through and gain clarity. Whether you’re thinking about a set number of sessions or prefer to decide as we go, there’s no pressure. Counselling is flexible and tailored to you.
The areas I can support you with include (but are not limited to):
Anxiety, stress & low mood
Low self-esteem & self-worth
Relationship & family issues
Life changes & personal growth
Trauma & past experiences
Grief, loss & emotional overwhelm
Identity & self-exploration
I offer both in-person and online sessions. Online sessions are held via platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams. For in-person sessions, I rent a counselling room in Luton town centre, just a few minutes’ walk from Luton Mall.
Each session lasts 50 minutes and is priced at £45, payable 24 hours in advance. This fee helps cover the costs of room hire, clinical supervision, professional membership, and directory listings.
Contact Me
You’re welcome to get in touch via the contact form on this website or through the directories where I’m listed, such as the Counselling Directory or the BACP register. I aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 to 48 hours.
Introductory Phonecall
Once you reach out, we’ll schedule a free 15-minute phone call at a convenient time for you. This allows us to connect, discuss whether we’re a good fit, and address any questions you might have. After the call, you can take some time to decide if you’d like to book a session, or we can proceed to schedule your initial appointment.
Counselling Session
Once you’ve booked your session, you’ll receive a confirmation email with the date, time, and location (or details for the online platform). I’ll also provide additional information about counselling and ask you to complete a brief form with some basic details.
